Supreme Court Justice Gary Clingman Recuses Himself from Straight Party Ballot Case

The Republican Party, along with other affected parties, including a Democrat write-in candidate, filed a petition with the State Supreme Court to bar the straight-party voting option for the Nov. 6 election.  Several bills have been proposed in the Legislature to authorize a straight party vote, but non have been signed into law. 

Supreme Court Justice Gary Clingman, a Republican who was appointed by Governor Martinez in April is up for election in November and has recused himself from the case.
